On 23-24 February, 2024, was held the 1st physical kick-off meeting of the TOURAL project in Thessaloniki, Greece at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH).

On 23-24 February, 2024, was held the 1st physical kick-off meeting of the TOURAL project in Thessaloniki, Greece at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH).
TOURAL project conducted its Virtual Kick-off meeting on January 24th, marking the initiation of project activities.
The Balkan Heritage Foundation and the Centre for Slavo-Byzantine Studies “Prof. Ivan Dujčev” in Sofia present “Manuscript Bookbindings of the Eastern Mediterranean: conservation and research” led by Dr. Nikolas Sarris. The seminar will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria in the period February 12 – 17, 2024.
In the BEMA Online Seminar on January 20, 2024 Dr. Katharine Kolpan, will talk about “The Relationship between Skeletons, Trade, and Migration at the Ancient Greek Black Sea Colony of Apollonia Pontica (7th-3rd centuries BC) “.
Today concluded the second international seminar of the Blue Culture Technology Excellence Hubs in EU Widening Member States (BCT Hubs) project, which took place in Sofia on 7-8 November. The event was organized by the Balkan Heritage Foundation and the Center for Underwater Archaeology.
On September 04, 2023, the Balkan Heritage Foundation, the Municipality of Kazanlak, Bulgaria and the Kazanlak History Museum “Iskra” welcomed ten participants to the international training “Creating Management Plans for Conservation of Immovable Heritage” funded by UNESCO.
On July 20, 2023, the Varna Regional Historical Museum reopened the renovated museum exhibition at one of its major archaeological sites, the Aladzha Monastery, thanks to financial support from the Ministry of Culture and the Balkan Heritage Foundation.
On April 27, 2023, in the main hall of the National Archaeological Institute with Museum (NAIM-BAS), the Balkan Heritage Foundation, Dr.Yavor Boyadzhiev and Dr. Kamen Boyadzhiev had the pleasure to officially present the book “Tell Yunatsite – Archaeological Studies and Perspectives”.
In the BEMA Online Seminar on March 30, 2023 Dr. Phillip W. Stockhammer (Professor of prehistoric archaeology at Ludwig-Maximilians-University) and Bogdan Athanassov (Assistant prof. in Archaeology at New Bulgarian University), presented: “Architecture of Power or the Power of Architecture – the Late Bronze Age Fortified Settlement of Bresto, Bulgaria”
