On 23 October, 2014 Mr. Emil Iliev, the mayor of Strumyani, Dr. Malgorzata Grebska-Kulov, Balkan Heritage Foundation (BHF) Advisory Board member and dig director of the BHF excavation project in Ilindentsi as well as Mr. Ivan Vasilev, CEO of the BHF opened the exhibition presenting the results from the excavations at the Neolithic settlement in Ilindentsi and the Balkan Heritage Field School (BHFS) project there through: photographs of the independent artist and photographer Lora Parmakova and Neolithic artifacts mostly found by the BHFS students at the site between 2011 and 2014. It is unbelievable to see how much information we can be extracted about the life of the Early Neolithic farmers in the area from such a small-scale excavation. The exhibition was on display in the recently refurbished School’s building in Strumyani from October 23th till November 28th, 2014.
