On October 18, 2022 the Balkan Heritage Foundation (BHF) opened the outdoor exhibition “Sofia Mosaic Tour” in the City Garden in front of the National Theater “Ivan Vazov”. The exhibition consisted of 26 panels presenting 12 sites with ancient and modern mosaics from Roman Serdica and present-day Sofia. Ivan Vasilev, CEO of the BHF gave a press conference at the Regional History Museum Sofia presenting the project “Sofia Mosaic Tour”, which apart from the exhibition features a bilingual (Bulgarian/English) website and a training for tour guides.

The Culture” Program of the Sofia Municipality funded the project in 2022, which was made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Regional History Museum Sofia and the project team: Dr. Angela Pencheva, Anton Chalakov, Ivan Vasilev, Lyuba Manoilova, Lina Petrova, Dr. Matthew Schueller, Dr. Vanya Popova and Dr. Daniela Chulova-Markova.
