3rd General Assembly Meeting of TOURAL Project Partners

The 3rd General Assembly meeting of the TOURAL project took place in Zadar, Croatia, from 18 to 19 September 2025. The meeting was organised and hosted by the TOURAL project partner ZADRA NOVA. The Balkan Heritage Foundation was honoured to attend alongside 15 other project partners.

During the first day of the meeting, project partners discussed the work that has already been completed during the first one and a half years of the project, as well as the next steps for the upcoming months. Special attention was paid to the six Living Labs that took place in spring 2025 – one for each of the TOURAL Pilot Sites – as their results provide important insights and data for the ongoing project tasks.

As part of the project’s activities, project partners participated in a guided tour of the cultural and natural heritage of the City of Pag and Šimuni Village on the Island of Pag, one of the six TOURAL pilot sites for the sustainable development of UCCST tourism markets.

On the second day, participants visited the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar, which operates under the auspices of UNESCO as a Category 2 Centre. The Centre works to study, preserve, and promote underwater cultural heritage in Croatia and beyond.

We are proud to be a part of the TOURAL project, committed to preserving cultural heritage and raising public awareness while promoting sustainable cultural tourism in rural areas.

The project is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.
