Dear students, colleagues and friends,

After a pause of almost two years, the board of the Balkan Heritage Foundation has decided to open our educational program: The Balkan Heritage Field School for applications. Despite the ongoing worldwide pandemic situation, it is our responsibility to find a solution complying with the interest of our students and our mission to preserve the cultural heritage.

In the summer of 2022 we are offering a selection of 11 field schools in archeology and conservation, in areas and months with predictably lower COVID 19 impact in Bulgaria, N. Macedonia, Greece and Israel. Due to the still unforeseeable worldwide pandemic situation, we have developed special health and safety COVID protocols which are going to be updated accordingly.

Herewith, our team would like to thank all BHFS students who were registered for season 2020 for their understanding and patience and to welcome everyone willing to join our projects in 2022.

We are looking forward to our new Season as well as to meeting and hosting you in our part of the world.
