On October 04 (Monday) the Balkan Heritage Foundation and the Municipality of Plovdiv will officially open Mosaic Week  Plovdiv 2021 with a public lecture at the Episcopal (Bishop’s) Basilica of Philippopolis at 6:30 pm by Assoc. Prof. Elena Kantareva-Decheva. The subject of the lecture “Ancient Mosaics of Philippopolis and the Contemporary Mosaics of Plovdiv” will be the history, technique and technology of the mosaics.
