Partnership with the National Archaeological Institute with Museum

The Balkan Heritage Foundation is  pleased to announce the solidifying of their partnership with the National Archaeological Institute with Museum – Bulgarian Academy of Scineces (NAIM-BAS) with a new framework agreement signed on December 23, 2019. The contract outlines the collaboration for the archaeological projects at Tell Yunatsite, Pistiros and Apollonia Pontica – part of the Balkan Heritage Field School portfolio, as well as future projects related to conservation, research, heritage management and documentation.

The present agreement has its roots in a decade long partnership between the Balkan Heritage Foundation and archaeologists from NAIM-BAS, who are dig directors of archaeological sites supported by the Foundation. The most recent example of a successful collaboration is the project for digital documentation of the Alexandrovo tomb in the period October-November 2019.
