The 4th General Assembly meeting of the TOURAL
The 4th General Assembly meeting of the TOURAL project took place in Pineto, Italy, from 19 to 21 May 2026, bringing together 19 project partners to review progress, discuss current issues, and coordinate the final stages of project implementation.
On the first day of the meeting, the project partners discussed all active work packages, including the implementation and progress of the KACs (Knowledge Awareness Centers) at each of the TOURAL Pilot Sites. Special attention was paid to the ongoing integration of cultural heritage preservation into the project’s KPIs.
During the second day, following the presentation of ICT tools developed for the digital transformation of the project outputs, participants took part in the first transnational workshop of the project, organized by the Italian partners with the participation of local Italian stakeholders, including the Mayor of Pineto. Discussion of business modeling was a central focus of the workshop, and the Balkan Heritage Foundation presented the steps of the “individualization” process within the TOURAL business model. At the end of the day, the Italian KAC was visited and presented by the Italian project partners.
On the last day, the participants toured the towns of Atri and Cellino Attanasio, which are part of the Italian project pilot site in the Teramo region.
We continue to be proud to be part of the TOURAL project, committed to preserving cultural heritage and raising public awareness while promoting sustainable cultural tourism in rural areas.
The project is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.
