The exhibition “Plovdiv – City of Mosaics 2022” Vol. 2
From October 11 – November 30, 2022, the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria hosted the exhibition “Plovdiv – City of Mosaics 2022” in the Bishop’s Basilica of Philippopolis. The exhibition features images of Plovdiv’s diverse ancient and modern mosaic heritage which can be visited on the Balkan Heritage Mosaic Tour: Plovdiv. It is our hope that the exhibit will not only enable us to make the mosaic tour permanently available for citizens and tourists, but also attract experts and potential donors to aid in the conservation and promotion of this heritage. This exhibit was organized by the Balkan Heritage Foundation for the 14th Conference of the International Committee for the Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM) and was funded by the Municipality of Plovdiv under the “Festivals and Significant Events” segment of its cultural program.
