This presentation discusses the mission for salvage and conservation of manuscripts from North Iraq, endangered by the war conflict with the Islamic State and the devasting results of vandalism on Christian monasteries and churches.

In the period 24 – 28 October 2022 Plovdiv, Bulgaria became the host city for the 14th Conference of the International Committee for the Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM). The Municipality of Plovdiv organized the event in partnership with the Balkan Heritage Foundation and welcomed over 200 experts on mosaic heritage from 20 countries.

Tell Yunatsite is one of the most renowned and continuously excavated prehistoric sites in Bulgaria. This book provides a comprehensive review of the history of research, with a primary emphasis on the archaeological work of the two authors on the Chalcolithic layers between 2000 and 2020. Their excavations revealed that in the 5th millennium BCE, the mound served as the fortified top of a large settlement, illustrating the highly developed material and spiritual culture of its inhabitants, who are regarded as the bearers of one of the earliest civilizations in Europe.
This bilingual catalogue (in Bulgarian and English) features 31 artifacts, including pottery and metal objects, whose conservation was funded through a donation campaign by the Balkan Heritage Foundation; these items were uncovered during archaeological excavations, also supported by the Foundation, at the Late Antique and Early Medieval settlement near the Roman road station Bona Mansio in Vetren village and the Early Christian monastery on Djanavara Hill in Varna, Bulgaria.
On April 28, 2018 the Balkan Heritage Foundation celebrated its 10 year anniversary in Sofia, Bulgaria with friends and colleagues from around the globe.
