This presentation discusses the mission for salvage and conservation of manuscripts from North Iraq, endangered by the war conflict with the Islamic State and the devasting results of vandalism on Christian monasteries and churches.

In the period 24 – 28 October 2022 Plovdiv, Bulgaria became the host city for the 14th Conference of the International Committee for the Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM). The Municipality of Plovdiv organized the event in partnership with the Balkan Heritage Foundation and welcomed over 200 experts on mosaic heritage from 20 countries.
On November 3, 2022 the Balkan Heritage Foundation received an award for their long term partnership with the Regional Historical Museum Blagoevgrad.
The Balkan Heritage Foundation and the Municipality of Sofia opened Sofia Mosaic Tour Exhibition on October 17 with an outdoor exhibition near The Ivan Vazov National Theatre.
In February 2022 the American Institute for Southeast European Studies (AISEES) and the Balkan Heritage Foundation announced a new scholarship available for participants in the Balkan Heritage Field School.
The current bilingual catalogue (in Bulgarian and English) showcases 31 artifacts found during archaeological excavations and field schools supported by the Balkan Heritage Foundation in collaboration with the Archaeological Museum “Prof. Mieczysław Domaradzki’’ and the Varna Regional Museum of History. All of these finds were conserved/restored thanks to the donation campaign of the Balkan Heritage Foundation supported by Atos Bulgaria Competency Center and their staff, as well as Kristy-Lee Seaton, Zachary Boettcher and Ivaylo Kyuchukov.
On April 28, 2018 the Balkan Heritage Foundation celebrated its 10 year anniversary in Sofia, Bulgaria with friends and colleagues from around the globe.
The first e-Book of the series “Balkan Heritage Studies” dedicated to St. Theodore Tyro Church in Zimevitsa, Bulgaria was presented at the National Ethnographic Museum in Sofia, Bulgaria.(January 11,2018)
